We are Michele and Felipe, two friends, life enthusiasts, and aviation geeks who met a few years ago during our flight training program in Portugal. Our shared passion for aviation quickly grew into a strong friendship and a common vision: to create a project that helps people achieve their career and personal goals through language learning.

Michele

After flight school, Michele joined a major European airline, where he developed and honed the skills essential for a team-working environment. His experiences in the airline industry emphasized the importance of cultural interactions, which he further explored through extensive travel. Michele's passion for photography and filmmaking led him to experiment with content creation on YouTube, where he crafted his knowledge and skills. He now incorporates his creativity to optimize the Lumian user experience, ensuring engaging and high-quality content.

Felipe

Felipe put his wings aside and moved to South America, where he joined several political movements advocating for children's right to education. This passion led him to set up his first language school, eventually transitioning to online education during the pandemic. Felipe completed his postgraduate studies in education and is currently pursuing a master's degree in education while teaching at one of the top schools in England. His extensive background in education and dedication to teaching ensures that Lumian offers the best learning strategies and methods to its users.

Driven by our dedication and clear vision, we founded Lumian, an online learning platform designed to be both affordable and accessible from anywhere in the world. We believe that mastering a new language can open doors to new opportunities and enrich lives, and we wanted to make this possible for everyone.
